On a regular basis, owners or senior managers of 100 motor factors, 100 accessory shops, 100 franchised dealer parts departments and 100 independent garages are asked to comment during intensive, confidential conversations on a prompted series of trends appertaining to their business, on their business's performance and to give their views on specific topics.</p><p> This primary research results in a broad reported range of operators' rather than analysts' views of trends, linked to regional market potential. Although the samples are not weighted to reflect the volume of sales moving through a specific channel or outlet, the businesses surveyed include major chains as well as independents, so are representative of the UK aftermarket.</p><p> This report was the tenth in a series over five years.
